Therapy for Highly Sensitive People & Empaths in New York and Massachusetts

Feel grounded, protected in your energy & deeply connected to yourself.

You pick up on everything
What’s said and what isn’t
The energy in a room
Other people’s emotions

It’s like your system is always on, taking everything in.

You might leave conversations feeling drained.
You give so much to others that there’s not much left for yourself.
You need alone time to reset, but even then, it can be hard to fully come back to your own energy.

At times, it can feel overwhelming to move through the world this way.

Being highly sensitive or an empath can feel like a lot to carry.

Step Into a More Grounded & Aligned Version of Yourself

Imagine if you could…

  • Recognize your sensitivity and embrace it with confidence

  • Feel grounded and connected to your own energy throughout the day

  • Clearly understand what you’re feeling vs. what you’re picking up from others

  • Move through relationships without overextending yourself

  • Set limits in a way that feels natural

  • Feel in tune with your capacity and honor it with self-trust

  • Have more energy for yourself, your relationships, and the things that matter most

  • Approach yourself with compassion

This work isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about deepening your connection with yourself so your sensitivity feels supportive, steady, and aligned.

A Nervous System Approach for Highly Sensitive People

Being highly sensitive or an empath means your nervous system notices and processes more - both the spoken and unspoken, the subtle shifts in energy, and the emotions around you. This heightened awareness can be a gift when you know how to work with it.

Somatic therapy helps you tune into your body and energy so you can clearly recognize what belongs to you, what belongs to others, and what you need to feel balanced and aligned. It supports you in stepping fully into your sensitivity as a strength.

EMDR Therapy

  • Helps you process past experiences or patterns that may amplify overgiving, overwhelm, or reactivity, creating a grounded and steady sense of self.

Brainspotting Therapy

  • Releases stored tension and emotional buildup in the body, allowing you to move through life with more ease, clarity, and presence.

Hi, I’m Deanna.

I’ve been a highly sensitive person for as long as I can remember - picking up on the energy, emotions, and dynamics of those around me from a young age. I know what it feels like to leave interactions feeling drained, to carry the unspoken tensions of others, and to struggle with setting boundaries without guilt.

Through my own journey, I’ve learned how transformative it can be to tune into your body, honor your energy, and cultivate self-compassion. In therapy with me, we focus on more than just talking about your experiences. We explore how your sensitivity shows up in your body, release what you’ve been carrying through EMDR, Brainspotting, and parts work, and help you step into your gifts with clarity and confidence.

My goal is to help you feel grounded, aligned, and empowered to live fully in your own energy - so your sensitivity feels like a strength, not something to manage.

Your sensitivity is a gift. You can feel grounded, energized, and fully aligned in your own strengths and intuition.

  • This approach focuses on both your mind and body. Highly sensitive people often experience emotions and energy on a deep level, and somatic therapy helps you process and release what your body and nervous system are holding - beyond what talking alone can achieve.

  • Yes! You can attend sessions from home in New York and Massachusetts.

  • We begin by understanding your experiences, your sensitivity, and how it shows up in your body and energy. Then we use somatic approaches like EMDR, Brainspotting, and parts work to help you:

    • Tune into your energy and boundaries

    • Release stored tension

    • Strengthen your inner guidance

    • Step into your gifts with confidence and alignment

    • 60-minute session: $222

    • 90-minute session: $333

    • Therapy intensives: Customized longer sessions for deeper work

Extended sessions give you extra time to dive deeper, process more in one sitting, and work through patterns that might take several shorter sessions to address. They’re a great option if you want faster, more focused progress.

  • I don’t take insurance, but I do accept HSA and FSA payments. I can provide a superbill so you can submit it to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Choosing not to bill insurance allows me to keep my caseload small and show up fully for you in the way you deserve. This means no session limits, approvals, or paperwork interfering with your care. It also gives us the flexibility to use EMDR, Brainspotting, parts work, and extended sessions in the way that best supports your goals. Many clients find this approach more personalized, effective, and freeing than going through insurance.
